Spring is here!!

Finally the weather is better and the snow is all gone following the worst winter on records! The Daffodils at the base of the flagpole are blooming!

Below the little granite stone and solar light at the base of the flagpole we buried a Time Capsule five years during our family picnic celebrating 200 years since the Jeffery's came to Prince Edward Island and the 150th anniversary of the settlment of this farm by Stephen E. Jeffery.

Spring Daffodils are up

I was happy to see the spring daffodils yesterday!

The daffodils are under the flag pole - the rock makes the place where we buried a Family Time Capsule in 2000 to be opened in 2050.

Below is a photo of the event. The capsule was placed in the ground by Stephen G. Jeffery, great-great-great grandson of Stephen E. Jeffery who settled the homestead in 1860.

* The house features a large kitchen with island, dining room, laundry, bathroom, living room and master bedroom on the main floor and 2 bedrooms on the second floor.
*There are 1 Queen and 2 Doubles beds in total.
*Other features - propane fireplace, Satelite TV, internet, BBQ, games, books, free WiFi.

*There's a fire-pit with lots of fire wood. There are 4 bicycles for guests to use in the garage c/w helmets.

* CONFEDERATION TRAIL is 500m from the homestead along with two country clay roads nearby.

* ENTERTAINMENT - almost every evening you can find a Ceilidh or Kitchen Party somewhere in West Prince.
