Winter at the Homestead

I took the following photos at the Homestead on Dec. 27th. It's been snowing nearly every day the past two weeks - it's either snow storming or light flurries all day. It's been like living in a snow globe!!

I went out to the main highway in Alma to Holy Trinity Alma Anglican Church and took the following photos - a winter wonderland for sure!!!
The church is used seasonally now. Construction started on the church in 1888 and was officially opened in October 1890.

Happy Holidays

* The house features a large kitchen with island, dining room, laundry, bathroom, living room and master bedroom on the main floor and 2 bedrooms on the second floor.
*There are 1 Queen and 2 Doubles beds in total.
*Other features - propane fireplace, Satelite TV, internet, BBQ, games, books, free WiFi.
*The grounds are well kept with an orchard, gazebo, vegetable garden and a large barn where Kerras Jeffery @ Backroad Folkart www.backroadfolkart.blogspot.com stores and sells reclaimed architectural pieces and furniture.

*There's a fire-pit with lots of fire wood. There are 4 bicycles for guests to use in the garage c/w helmets.

* CONFEDERATION TRAIL is 500m from the homestead along with two country clay roads nearby.

* ENTERTAINMENT - almost every evening you can find a Ceilidh or Kitchen Party somewhere in West Prince. Monday - ; Tuesday - ; Wednesday - Kitchen Partys at St. Hall, O'Leary Corner 6:30pm; Thursday - Lot 7 St. Mark's Parish Centre ; Friday - Albert & Crown Pub & Eatery; Saturday - .
