The Gazebo

The fruit trees are in blossom!  The Gazebo is located on the north west corner of the yard by the fruit tree orchard - its a great place to sit and watch the birds or to lay-down and have a rest.  There's always a breeze blowing through.

The fruit trees consist of  Yellow Transparent, MacIntosh, Plum, Cherry and Pear. One fall many years ago Mom and Dad made 135 apple pies from the one Yellow Transparent tree.  They gave quite a few away and froze near 50 - we had delicious apple pies for months - they sure tasted good in the middle of the winter!  Grandson Mark would often eat a whole pie himself.

There's a patch of rhubarb too!

Windows Boxes ready for Summer

The other day we got together to help Mom and Dad get their window boxes ready for the summer.  They always have beautiful overflowing window boxes full of petunias.
